Join us on a Friday evening to play Belote. Belote is a 32-card trick-taking game played in France, and is currently the most popular card game in that country, with Jeu de Tarot being the second. It was invented around 1920, probably from Klaverjas, or Klaverjassen, a game played since at least the 1600s in the Netherlands.

    •  A lot of fun and laughs as always. Jack, Nine, Ace, Ten, that's what's confusing Jenn! LOL. A lot of European games use this Trump order, so you'll get used to it eventually!
    •  I had a ton of fun learning Belote. And in fact, card game playing made it into my dreams last night... so now I'm playing cards _in my sleep_! *tee* Thank you everyone for dealing (pun intended) with my slower learning curve. And then I also have to deal with the rearrangemnt of the high to low values!!! The more I play card trick taking games the more comfortable I get with playing the tricks faster. I may seem quite ditzy at times, but there is a brain in my head, and it does work. ;? I'm looking forward to Pinochle on Tues. :)
